Yes. The strands and the controller are IP65 rated, tested from −20°C to 45°C. Rain, sleet, wind and frost are all fine — only the plug end needs to stay under cover or in a weatherproof outdoor socket.

Yes. Curtains daisy-chain from one plug and the app treats them as a single canvas, so an animation flows across the whole facade instead of repeating on each panel.
No account and no internet needed for day-to-day use — the app connects directly to the controller. Add it to your Wi-Fi only if you want to control the lights while you're away from home.
Low-voltage LEDs draw very little — running one curtain six hours a night for the whole of December typically costs less than a couple of coffees.
